Mesquite Chair Artisan Robert uses hand held tooling with the exception of a bandsaw. No metal in Robert's rockers!! Wood and metal do NOT expand and contract at the same rate, so eventually there is going to be a failure using that method. It may be 100+ years, but even then, I want my name untarnished. Robert uses old world Scandinavian jointery techniques, coupled with modernistic procedures for making the best load bearing, stress reducing jointery that can be used. |
